My Little Chickadee (1940)
(A movie staring W.C. Fields)

FIELDS: My boy, being sheriff of this town is pretty dangerous. The people here don’t know the difference between the sheriff and a clay pigeon.
COWBOY: God, you mean your life ain’t worth two cents?
FIELDS: Two cents. Have you any of the elusive ???? on you?
COWBOY: You mean money?
FIELDS: That is correct, yes. Hey, you go back to the reservation. I milked you out. Give this gentleman a seat. Sit down cousin. Certainly good to see relatives far away from home. Put the elusive right on the table there.
COWBOY: You mean all of it?
FIELDS: Every cent of it, yes, ??? ….. Let’s see that’s pretty good, yeah.
COWBOY: Is this a game of chance?
FIELDS: Not the way I play it, no.
