FUNCTION was a mathematics magazine published by Monash University's mathematics department from 1977 to 2004.

Just as windsurfers, rock climbers and gardeners have magazines catering to their interests, FUNCTION was intended for those interested in mathematics, and was specifically targeted at secondary school students. Coverage was very broad: pure mathematics, statistics, computer science and applications of mathematics were all included. FUNCTION included articles on recent advances in mathematics, news items on mathematics and its applications, special interest matters, such as computer chess, problems and solutions, discussions, cover diagrams, and even cartoons.
